Aim of the project:
Preventative & preparedness measures for disease outbreaks through supporting environmental & Public health services in various districts located in the governorates of Ninawa. The project focuses on the following key issues.
- Medical waste treatment services target in and out of camp PHCs, mobile clinics and temporarily fixed clinics.
- Supporting the water monitoring and sampling service as preparedness and preventive measure against water-borne diseases that could affect the lives of IDPS in camps and returnees.
- Supporting the vector control prevention activities

A. Medical waste Activities
- Operation of 5 Medical waste treatment machines, 3 in Ninawa, 1 in Kirkuk and 1 in Salahaldin
- Covering Medical waste service in the following distorts: Qayyara, Mosul, Hamdaniya, Hamma Aleel, Telafar, Hawika, Shirqat, beiji, Tikrit, Sameraa, and Aldor
Collecting waste from over 160 healthcare centres
